✨ Double-Sided Wooden Tracing Boards – Uppercase & Lowercase Letters

Designed with care for BC’s diverse and dynamic classrooms, our double-sided wooden tracing boards feature uppercase letters on one side and lowercase on the other. Each letter is deeply grooved, encouraging students to practice correct letter formation using a finger or stylus, while supporting proper pincer grip development and fine motor control—essential foundations for confident writing.

Crafted with early childhood educators, ELL teachers, and inclusion specialists in mind, these boards are ideal for:

  • ✏️ Pre-K to Grade 3 classrooms

  • 🌿 Montessori-inspired learning environments

  • 🧠 Occupational therapy, resource rooms, and Orton-Gillingham-based literacy support

Each board follows numbered tracing steps to guide learners through the correct stroke order, helping build muscle memory and left-to-right tracking—skills that are key for both native English speakers and English language learners (ELLs).

Why BC Teachers Love These:

These tactile tools align beautifully with the BC Early Learning Framework, which highlights the importance of play-based, sensory-rich, and inclusive environments where children engage their bodies and minds through exploration. Our tracing boards:

  • Support diverse learners including students with disabilities, sensory needs, or motor planning differences.

  • Help learners build confidence in print awareness and letter-sound recognition through movement-based practice.

  • Offer a calm, hands-on alternative to pencil-and-paper work, ideal for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) classrooms.

Whether used at a writing centre, in small-group literacy time, or one-on-one intervention, these boards empower every child to build strong literacy foundations through play, movement, and joyful repetition.

Materials

All of our products are sustainably made with bio-based, not plastic based resin sourced from a Canadian grain farming family out of Manitoba. Each set has slightly different inclusions such as glitter, dried flowers and natural mica powders.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping:
We offer porch pick-up in Pitt Meadows, BC or shipping through Canada Post. Most items are ready to leave our care in 1-3 days. Custom orders may take longer, but we will be sure to communicate that to you during the initial communication.

Returns:
Each item is handmade and quality checked before shipping. I never ship anything I’m not personally proud of. Variations in colour and small air bubbles are to be expected and we do not accept return items for those reasons.
Our aim is not only that you love your Autumn Fraser sensory set but that you enjoy it so much you want to tell people about it. If upon receiving our product, you aren’t totally happy, please send us a message within 24 hours and we will attempt to remedy the issue with an exchange that makes you smile.

Thank you for shopping small!

Care Instructions

You should feel confident using our sensory shapes in a variety of messy ways since clean up is as easy as washing with mild soap in warm water.

Safety

None of our products are designed to be put in the mouth and so aren’t appropriate for any children who mouth toys.
There are dimensions listed on each of our products and the majority are appropriate for those ages 3+ because of their small size. There are some sensory sets under the category ‘toddler sensory sets’ that are much larger and therefore not a choking hazard.
