š§ What Children Learn:
āļø Naming Emotions & Expanding Vocabulary
āļø Self-Awareness & Expression
āļø Regulation & Comfort-Seeking
āļø Building Relationships & Safe Conversations
āļø Understanding That All Feelings Are OK
These are foundational SEL skills in the BC Early Learning Framework, which recognizes that emotional well-being and identity development are just as important as academics.
š Easy Ways to Play & Connect:
šŖ "Show Me That Face"
Choose a feeling from the wheel ā then use the mirror to make that face!
Try it together. Add a sound or a story.
āThis is my excited face⦠weāre going to the park!ā
š¬ "How Do You Feel Today?"
Spin the wheel and let your child point to a feeling.
Ask: āWhat made you feel that way?ā
Let them explain ā or just sit with it. No pressure.
šµ "Hold Your Calm"
If your child feels overwhelmed, offer the calm token.
āWhen Iām upset, I hold this and take 3 breaths. Want to try?ā
ā The small size makes it great for backpacks or pockets.
š "Name the Feeling" (for other people!)
Look at books, pets, or people in the park.
āWhat feeling do you think that person has right now?ā
ā Builds empathy and observation skills.
š² "Feelings First" Story Starter
Pick a feeling from the wheel and invent a short story using that emotion.
āOnce there was a turtle who was feeling frustratedā¦ā
š§ "Feelings Are Teachers"
Remind your child that every feeling gives us information.
Even ābigā or tricky emotions are part of being human.
Use the wheel to talk about what those feelings might be telling us.
Ā
š¬ A Note to Grownups:
This kit isnāt about āfixingā feelings ā itās about welcoming them.
You donāt need to solve everything. You just need to show up, name emotions when they show up, and help your child know they are safe and seen.
š”Try saying:
āItās okay to feel like that.ā
āI feel that way sometimes too.ā
āIām here.ā
Emotional learning is lifelong. Youāre doing a great job.

None of our products are designed to be put in the mouth and so arenāt appropriate for any children who mouth toys.
There are dimensions listed on each of our products and the majority are appropriate for those ages 3+ because of their small size. There are some sensory sets under the category ātoddler sensory setsā that are much larger and therefore not a choking hazard.
