The Fall Sensory Collection
(Custom kits for your interest and class size are available. Just send me an email and I can happily work to your budget and timeline)
Every autumn, families and communities in BC gather to celebrate the season—through food, festivals, traditions, and time in nature. Whether it’s harvesting, sharing meals like dumplings, lighting candles for Diwali, remembering loved ones during Día de los Muertos, or simply walking among falling leaves, fall is a season of connection. No matter our cultural or linguistic background, autumn invites us to come together.
Our Fall Sensory Collection is designed with this spirit in mind, aligning with the BC Early Learning Framework’s principles of well-being, belonging, engagement, and expression.
Rooted in Nature and Community
Handmade in Pitt Meadows, BC, with Canadian bio-based resin, each piece invites children to explore seasonal change and their relationship to the land. Pumpkins, leaves, and woodland animals support storytelling and connection to nature, while trays shaped like moons and owls encourage reflective, imaginative play. The inclusion of dumplings, skulls, and festive pieces acknowledges how families celebrate fall across diverse cultural traditions—fostering belonging and respect for multiple ways of knowing.
Open-Ended Play for Early Learning
Versatile and durable, these toys can be used with playdough, water, slime, oobleck, kinetic sand, and more. Educators and caregivers will find they support:
-
Belonging & Well-being: inviting children to share their own seasonal traditions, meals, and stories.
-
Engagement: open-ended materials that spark inquiry, problem-solving, and imaginative play.
-
Expression: opportunities for art-making, storytelling, and role-play across languages and cultures.
Seasonal Tools for Learning & Joy
Whether in a classroom, daycare, StrongStart, or home setting, this collection brings children into conversation with nature’s cycles and with one another. They are not just toys, but tools for discovery, cultural connection, and joyful learning.
Embrace the magic of autumn—together.
